The Royal Thai Army has ordered a probe into improper punishment at a cavalry unit after a leaked video clip showing two trainers brutally beating and repeatedly kicking a trainee with military boots drew a barrage of criticism. An initial probe found such punishment was improper and in breach of military regulations, said Col Winthai. If the trainers are found to have violated regulations, they will face harsh punishment, said the spokesman. The probe came after the video clip was posted in social media on Nov 17. It shows two trainers taking turns caning a trainee and one of them repeatedly kicking him with military boots .
